A Massachusetts resident has tested positive for monkeypox, the state health department confirmed Wednesday.
Officials said the patient is an adult male who recently traveled to Canada.
It comes after four more cases of the rare disease were identified in the U.K Tuesday, bringing the nationwide total to seven since the beginning of May.
